Peterson Brothers Herefords
Isn't it interesting how many little films there are out there? They're just here now, but back in 1940 Ford Motor Company thought it was important enough to get together with Paramount Pictures, negotiate back and forth, and create this story about their V8 trucks, "powerful and sturdy, economical and fast," slicing through the night to bring you your orange juice.
Want to see something? About midway through this film you'll notice a cattle farm with a big barn painted with the name "Peterson Brothers Herefords." This farm is still there in Utah, and the man described at http://www.gapages.com/peterws1.htm was born the same year this film was made.
Fascinating.

Subject:
Paramount-produced jazzy film on trucking
Opens with shots of Times Square at night with "NIght in Manhattan" music.
Film segues into scenes of (Ford) trucks and of all the goods that are delivered at night - milk, fuel, newspapers, flowers, baked goods etc. "Everything that graces modern life, rolling through the dark into the dawn."
The morning breakfast is used as an example of how trucking is an integral part of modern society. "Fresh good things that are brought by trucks."
Film quality is good - clear images and good sound.
